For
students with no knowledge of French or with less than two years of high school
French. The purpose is to lay a foundation for speaking, writing and reading
the language. One hour of lab work is required per week.

FRE 2200 Intermediate Reading and Translation 3
For
students who have previous experience in French, but are not yet prepared for
advanced work in the language.
FRE 2210 Intermediate Composition &
Conversation 3
Practical
oral communication course for students on an intermediate level. Prepares
students for FRE 2200.
FRE 3300 Grammar and Usage 3
Intensive
review of French grammar and usage in written and oral situations.
FRE 3450 Advanced Conversation 3
Increasing
and improving language skills. Meets Multicultural requirement.
FRE 3500 French Civilization I 3
French
civilization in a historical, cultural and artistic perspective.
FRE 4955 Supervised Foreign Language Field
Experience Abroad 1-3
Supervised
and individualized foreign language experience tailored to each student’s
individual proficiency needs in language and culture. Permission is required.
