ELD 4850 Instructional Strategies for Teaching Students with Specific

Students develop the skills necessary to effectively teach learning
disabled students. There are three areas of emphasis in the course: the
diagnosis of student learning and behavior problems, procedures for
implementing and evaluating educational programs appropriate for learning
disabled students, and the development and implementation of behavior
management and precision teaching skills. Students completing this course,
therefore, will be prepared to precisely diagnose student learning problems
and implement effective individualized instructional and behavioral
management programs.

Three contact hours per semester hour of credit in unit for children with
learning disorders. Demonstration of ability to write curriculum

informal tests of specific abilities and behaviors which relate to or
