CRW-Creative Writing CRW 2000 Introduction to Creative Writing . . . . . 3(F,S) Overview and introduction to three genres of creative writing: poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Will be taught as part lecture/ discussion and part writing workshop. CRW 3110 Fiction Writing . . . . . 3(S) Workshop in narrative fiction. Practice in developing plot and character and establishing point of view. Emphasis on writing for publication in specific markets. CRW 3310 Poetry Writing . . . . . 3(F,S) Workshop in writing poetry. Practice in traditional forms and extensive work in contemporary free verse. CRW 4211 Creative Non-Fiction . . . . . 3(F) Writing workshop in which students explore the personal essay through the process of reading and writing about autobiography, travel, science, politics, and art. Material and supply fee will be assessed. CRW 6130 Workshop in Fiction Writing . . . . . 3(F) Writing, editing, and evaluating fiction.
