APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
A student applying for financial aid must follow the procedure outlined below:

A. Submit "Annual Financial Aid Application" form. The form is available on-line at uwf.edu/finaid or from the Financial Aid Office (FAO), the University of West Florida, 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola, Florida 32514.

B. Complete the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)" which is available on-line at uwf.edu/finaid. The results, called a Student Aid Report (SAR), will be electronically transmitted to the University of West Florida when the student enters "003955" in Step 6 on the FAFSA form.

C. Submit an application for admission to UWF. No offer of financial aid will be made until the applicant has been accepted for admission to UWF.

All completed eligible applications for financial aid will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Most financial aid programs specify that an applicant register at least half-time, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and show evidence of financial need.

Receipt of a financial aid award does not automatically renew an application for financial aid in subsequent years. A student must reapply for financial aid each academic year.
