In August 2013, I joined the Physics Department at the University of West Florida.

About Me

I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics in 2009, specializing in strongly correlated electronic systems and computational physics, particularly quantum Monte Carlo. Afterwards, I held a joint appointment as a postdoctoral scholar at Georgetown University and the Joint Quantum Institute (University of Maryland), working with Marcos Rigol and Victor Galitski, respectively. From 2011-2013, I was a postdoctoral fellow with Egor Babaev at the Physics Department of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

On this page you will find information about my research (which has focused on topics such as quantum magnetism, ultracold atomic gases, topological insulators, and quantum spin liquids), the courses I'm teaching at UWF, and some random links to useful stuff I find.
