Research methods in general and procedures for studying problems related to
mentally handicapped children. The students will identify a problem, conduct a
literature review and develop a method for studying the selected problem.
Simulated educational data, relevant to mental retardation, will be analyzed
with the aid of a computer. The students will use the results to answer
questions relevant to mentally handicapped students.
EMR 6942 Research Practicum - MH . . . . . 3(F,S,SS)
Prerequisite: EMR 6705.
Identification of a problem in the area of MH, review of pertinent literature
and preparation of a proposal with all the necessary information, conduct of
research in a professional manner, evaluation and written report of the results.
