MHF 4404 History of Mathematics . . . . . 3(SS)
Survey of the history of mathematics from ancient period through modern period. Emphasis is placed on the contributions of great mathematicians and important ideas of mathematics. 6 hours of mathematics beyond the calculus sequence is required prior to this course.
