Students develop the skills necessary to effectively teach learning disabled students. There are three areas of emphasis in the course: the diagnosis of student learning and behavior problems, procedures for implementing and evaluating educational programs appropriate for learning disabled students, and the development and implementation of behavior management and precision teaching skills. Students completing this course, therefore, will be prepared to precisely diagnose student learning problems and implement effective individualized instructional and behavior management programs. The students will identify a problem, conduct a literature review and develop a method for studying the selected problem.
