countries, from interpretive, normative, and critical perspectives, their
explanatory frameworks of the school as social and multicultural institutions in
a democratic society will improve, and on the basis of critical study and their
own reflection, they will be able to expand themselves in a variety of

Enables graduate students to comprehend and apply new research paradigms,
strategies, and techniques to solve and understand educational problems. The
qualitative research concepts and theories introduces alternative methods for
studying social and cultural settings. Alternative qualitative research
strategies provide teachers and administrators with necessary skills for
understanding social change and educational complexities.

Develops skills for evaluating and for conducting applied research studies in
an appropriate area of emphasis. Includes strategies of research appropriate for
particular area of emphasis and methods appropriate for those strategies.
Students are required to select problems, plan research studies, and write

should indicate specialization interests by selecting a suffix. Specialization
