Jazz dance technique with emphasis on style, movement skills, choreography, vocabulary, history, and performance.

DAN 3XX2 Musical Theatre Dance . . . . . 3(F,S,SS)
Practice of dance for the Musical Theatre. Pre/Corequisite: DAN 2XXX (Ballet I).

DAN 4XXX Advanced Ballet . . . . . 2(F,S)
Study in advanced ballet. The student must have reached the highest level of physical strength, mastery of skills and technical knowledge in order to be eligible for placement in this section. Permission of instructor is required.

DAN 4XX1 Advanced Modern Dance . . . . . 2(F,S)
Advanced Modern Dance is a two credit academic course. It meets three hours per week and can be repeated for credit 4 times. The student must have reached the highest level of physical strength, mastery of skills and technical knowledge in order to be eligible for placement in this section. Permission of instructor is required.
