In depth analysis of child and adult psychological disorders focusing on
practical application of the current diagnostic manual in developing diagnostic
formulations. Emphasis on an integrative theoretical approach and the empirical
foundation for theory, causes, and treatment of psychological disorders.

skill and expertise in administering, scoring, interpreting, and writing reports
of results of standard tests employed for assessing personality and
psychological disorders in clinical populations. Emphasis is on the MMPI and

CLP 6943 Practicum in Psychiatric Psychopathology . . . . . 2(CALL DEPT)
Student spends 4 hours per week in a psychiatric setting interacting with
seriously disturbed patients. In addition to psychiatric supervision, student
attends a 2 sh seminar with instructor who also provides individual supervision.
Permission of the instructor is required. Prerequisite: CLP 5166 or equivalent.
