PRE-DENTAL PROGRAM
The Pre-Dental Program is a seven year combined B.S., D.M.D. program designed to provide the applicant dual acceptance into the University of West Florida and the University of Florida College of Dentistry near the time of initial matriculation in college. Prerequisite courses to meet the departmental Baccalaureate degree requirements and the College of Dentistry's admission requirements are completed during the first three years. Credits from the basic science portion of the Dental Program are transferred back to the University of West Florida to complete the bachelor's degree requirements. Approved students spend three or four years at the University of West Florida and then attend the University of Florida Dental School until the D.M.D. is awarded. Undergraduate majors in Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, and Sciences Interdisciplinary have been developed. The early admissions program is one that allows provisional acceptance into the University of Florida College of Dentistry to outstanding high school students at the time they are entering college.
