College of Arts & Sciences
The College of Arts & Sciences is a highly regarded intellectual, cultural, and social resource for the students and region it serves. With programs grounded in rational thought, classic theories, and timeless principles, it is the mother college of the University.

Every member of The College plays a role in the creation, dissemination, and preservation of knowledge in the arts, humanities, social sciences, computational sciences, or natural sciences.

Toward that end, The College provides:

College of Business
The College of Business aims to provide an educational experience of the highest quality in business administration at the undergraduate and graduate levels to the Northwest Florida region. Administrators and faculty aspire for business students to become educated and to succeed--to be able to understand, to reason, to communicate, and to continue to learn.

To pursue this mission, the College of Business directs its activities toward achieving the following goals:

  • Encourage enriched instruction in all subject areas through the active involvement of students and the continued professional development of faculty.
  • Enhance and broaden the curriculum to keep it future oriented through annual review.
  • Stimulate improved faculty research quality, productivity, and transfer to the outside world.
  • Foster faculty participation in professional service and activities.

College of Professional Studies

The mission of the College of Professional Studies is to educate and prepare competent professionals with the attitudes and values which enable them to apply the knowledge, skills, and abilities to address real-world problems.

The University, college administration, faculty and students support the establishment of a synergistic culture which promotes integration of knowledge, skills, and abilities into the learning process through contributions of joint applied research, creative endeavors, and community service.

Programs which are nationally accredited such as professional education, social work education, and public administration have specific missions which meet national accrediting standards.
