Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary program that examines the roles, influence, and restrictions of women in society and the impact of social institutions, systems, and philosophies on women's lives and behaviors. Faculty and invited speakers make presentations relevant to women's studies in monthly colloquia followed by roundtable discussions involving students and community members.

MINOR OR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Requirements (15 sh)
To receive a minor or a certificate in the Women's Studies Program, students must complete (a) SYD 3810 at The University of West Florida or WST 2010 at a community college and (b) a total of fifteen semester hours of upper-division coursework (including, if taken, SYD 3810) at The University of West Florida.
