Survey of recent findings in psychology from three different theoretical approaches: the environmental/behavioral, the experiential/phenomenological and the physiological viewpoints. An attempt will be made to integrate these three differing approaches into a more holistic explanation of human behavior.

Fundamentals of testing and measurement of aptitude, achievement and personality. Prerequisite: STA 2023 is recommended.

History, ethics and issues in research design and data analysis. Major paper required: research proposal. Prerequisite: EXP 3082 and STA 2023 or their equivalent.

PSY 6917 Supervised Research . . . . . 1-3(VARIABLE)
Credit is earned by serving in an apprenticeship position under a faculty member and assisting with one or more research projects. Although the student may enroll in more than one supervised experience in research or teaching (see PSY 6940), a maximum of 3 sh in supervised experiences will be applied toward the degree requirements.

PSY 6940 Supervised Teaching . . . . . 1-6(VARIABLE)
Credit is earned by serving in an apprenticeship position under a faculty member and assisting with the teaching of one or more courses. Although the student may enroll in more than one supervised experience in teaching or research (see PSY 6917), a maximum of 3 sh for supervised experiences will be applied toward the degree requirements.

PSY 6948 Internship . . . . . 1-6(VARIABLE)
Supervised experience in community, agency, school, or business organization where student serves as full-time staff member. Student participates in full range of services available in the setting. An internship project and paper are required. May enroll for more than one term-total of 6 sh required for M.A. degree. Minimum of 600 clock hours required. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor.

PSY 6971 Thesis . . . . . 1-6(VARIABLE)
Includes research projects, theoretical treatises and case studies. May enroll for more than one term-total of 6 sh required for M.A. degree. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor.
