Scientific method and experimental techniques in psychology. Students will conduct, analyze, and write research papers on several studies. Prerequisites; STA 3023 or equivalent. Corequisite: EXP 3082

EXP 4404 Psychology of Learning . . . . . 3(3,0)

Principles and applications of learning theories, including conditioning and extinction, reinforcement and punishment, modeling, feedback, cognitive processes and physiological correlates. Prerequisite: PSY 2013. It is preferable if the student has had several other psychology courses.

EXP 5208 Sensation and Perception . . . . . 3(3,0)

Phenomena, theories, mechanisms and research techniques with emphasis on the visual and auditory systems.

EXP 6506 Human Learning and Cognition . . . . . 3(3,0)

Seminar concerning advanced theory and research on human learning and cognitive processing. Major theories of learning and cognition as well as related research are discussed. Prerequisite: EXP 3082 and EXP 4404 or their equivalent.
