Accreditation of Colleges and Specialized Programs
    The University of West Florida is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1886 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; telephone number (404) 679-4501) to award associate, bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees. In addition, specific colleges and programs are Nationally accredited by the agencies indicated below.

    Teacher Education programs have also been reviewed and approved by the Florida Department of Education. The master's and specialist degree programs leading to certification as a school administrator have been reviewed and approved by the Florida Council on Education Management (FCEM).
